Life, currently utterly unmitigated awful; then something happened this evening that tipped it over from "awful, awful, godawful" to "awful; also a sitcom about it would be a viable prospect".

So, that's something.

Yesterday some of you gave me some fic prompts and I wrote a few of them:

-The Middleman, accidental-baby-acquisition;

-Deep Space Nine, Garak and Bashir, truth or dare;

-Call The Midwife, also truth or dare;

-Cabin Pressure, pretending to be married.

edited to add: another Cabin Pressure, forced to share a bed.

Anyone else for anything else? Give me a fandom and prompt if you would like a snippet; I don't promise to write every single one, but I will try.

*ALL THE HUGS IN THE WORLD OMG*

Um, Slings and Arrows, Anna, something that made Anna happy.

SG1, Sam, aliens DON'T make them have sex.

Oh, they are SO LOVELY. Sam, honey, yes he has total faith in you and that whatever you have to say is worthwhile and meaningful, BECAUSE YOU'RE YOU. ♥

And also this is exactly why I always like Daniel better than Jack. (Not that I don't have some affectionf or him still, but yeah.)

*hugs* Here is a rat shaped like a fluffy tennis ball. A couple of nights I was singing sad folk songs to the rats and Bramble kept licking my nose while I was trying to sing. This did not make the sad folk song sound particularly sad.

X-men, historical AU - something about the School for Gifted Youngsters and how it might have existed?

Rivers of London, Nightingale, genderswap

Give me something utterly ridiculous involving BBC Sherlock? Maybe involving a bakery?

Slings and Arrows, drunk apocalypse. (Or one or the other, if you can't do both at once, but I think they are meant to be combined.)

Also, hugs. (For you, I mean, but you can put them in the snippet too.)

Is imagining it as a sitcom any consolation?

[livejournal.com profile] soupytwist said maybe Archie Panjabi could play me, and that was VERY CONSOLING. :) :)

*hugs* One day, you could write that sitcom, yes? And then you will be famous and beloved - the latter even more so than now - and responsible for causing hilarity and joy to many people - also more so than now.

(I shall return to read these anon; it seems to have become past bedtime without my permission...)

I've been feeling very much alone (as opposed to lonely) for the last few days so would love something light and sweet showing people caring for each other, maybe in difficult circumstances. Do you still write Hawkeye and BJ? Otherwise something Star Trek, West Wing or Harry Potter would be nice. In the meantime I shall curl up and watch something with lots of lovely solidarity.

Hope things improve for you soon x

Thank you, my dear. I still love Hawkeye and BJ, and I put on some M*A*S*H to see if I could think of something about them to write for you. I haven't yet, but hopefully soon.

Ow. But glad to hear your life is improving.

How about something Vorkosigan? Aral and Cordelia, genderswap.

Damn, LJ is being so pissy. First, I'm really sorry to hear things are so bad. I wish I could magically make The Right Things happen for you.

Second, I didn't know you liked Call the Midwife! I love that show! I can't believe I love a show about midwives (and babies), but I do, I really do.

Third, Oh, I loved the CB, pretending to be married one SO MUCH. You say so much with so few words.

Fourth, I'm finally home! But part of me wishes I were still there.

Take care, hold on, you have a lot of people rooting for you, including me. Thank you again for a lovely afternoon in beautiful rainy London. I will be thinking of you.

LJ is, so often, which is why I didn't see this until just now! I am v glad you liked the snippet, and also isn't Call the Midwife great? It's not at all the sort of show I like, either, and yet it's just so - oh, so good and thoughtful and humane and good!

V pleased you made it home safely! My afternoon with you was just such a delight; I know I said this at the time, but I had such a lovely time hanging out with you. Really glad you came and that I got to meet you.
