raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (roses)

So, I've had a lovely day with [livejournal.com profile] purplerainbow and no longer have the desire to smack people on the nose. Although, I'd make an exception for Mr Evans.

Anyway, I rang Hannah last night and asked, "Areyoudoinganythingtomorrowpleasesayno?"

And she understood me, amazingly enough, so out we went today birthday present shopping. It bothers me that I can't say anything about what we bought, because all the people concerned are on LJ, but suffice it to say we rock the entire world because we found stuff for everyone we needed to and spent hours talking as well. I liked this. Because I'm a tease (and I did this at Christmas and drove everyone insane) some of the shops we went to were: Grin, Woodstock, the Bead Shop, Accesorize, Waterstone's, Past Times and Lush.

Lush is the new one in that list - there was one in Chester, which I've been to once or twice, but they've only just opened in Liverpool. It's wonderful in there. Everything smells good enough to eat - I've always been particularly taken with Banana Moon soap - and makes you want to buy it. There's chocolate soap and "Bohemian" soap, and my personal favourite, "You Crack The Whip" soap. Black, exfoliating soap, hence the name. Amusing, indeed. Although, Hannah and I did find something even more amusing:

(It's a type of soap.)

Well, we found it amusing.

Come Christmas time, I think I may just use it as an excuse to buy stuff from Lush. We shall see.

The other thing we noticed today were advertising banners for Yoko Ono's exhibition at the Tate. "Um," was my reaction. They're rather... well, explicit. And very much in a public place, too. Neither of us quite understood what was going on there.

And that was all, really. A day of general talking, wibbling and all the rest of it. And we have been productive, yay.
