ravenI am insanely bored. There are no words to describe how bored I am at this moment.
In other news, I finally saw Pirates of the Caribbean today. Well, it wasn't masterpiece. It wasn't the best film of the century or whatever. But it wasn't pretentious, or what Pedar calls pseudo-intellectual. Nor was it mindless plotlessness. It had scary bits and funny bits and clever bits, and I really did like it. Johnny Depp - inspired casting. He was swishy. Just so swishy. And he had the eyeliner, and the general pervasive air of oh-my-god-how-cool-is-he?. And the slash - oh, how it screamed slash. Of course, I went to see it with my mother and was so prevented from squeeing too much - this is a woman who emerged from the cinema and asked, "What is a pirate?"
I may get myself a Pirates icon fairly soon. And try and scribble a bit of slashy fic. I haven't read any of the reams of fic available yet, though. I want to try and see what I can make of it without outside influence.
God, that was pretentious and pseudo-intellectual. Try and ignore that I said that.
