Unemployment
Jun. 12th, 2003 06:53 pmYou know what is not a good sign?
Having a GCSE tomorrow...
...and having used up the 33-hour battery life of an mp3 player in one day.
On the one hand, this doesn't bother me much, as all it means is that I have to charge it sooner than expected.
On the other hand, it bothers me exceedingly because a) I have a GCSE tomorrow and b) shouldn't this be theoretically impossible?
I will admit I am slightly obsessive when it comes to music. But, um, blah.
Anyway. I have nearly finished topic four (Nazi rule in Germany). All I need to do are the last couple of pages on the actions taken to prevent unemployment. And then I need to read over America whilst safe in the knowledge that although I revised it thoroughly a week ago I can't rememeber a word of it.
And on a completely unrelated point, I just read on the Dope that Gregory Peck died today. Isn't that strange - Atticus Finch not living forever?
I think I'll go and watch M*A*S*H now.

on 2003-06-12 01:23 pm (UTC)Some comedian somewhere apparently said, as things began to stir up with North Korea having "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and all that, "Ah, Korea, a country everyone knows about thanks to a sit com."
It was far wittier than that, this is just my much-later interpretation.
I'm reading Catch-22 right now. Speaking of war, and history, and entertainment and stuff. It's interesting, so far. There keep being bits that make me think of other things in such a good way. I ALSO, for the record, finished reading Good Omens, and am totally in love with it. I would have taken in back to the library but I am making EVERYONE I know read it. Bwa ha ha...
I need to go and see if my brother brought me math and chemistry textbooks. This comment is practically an e-mail. Well, faretheewell!

And those maths and chemistry textbooks - is it a good or a bad thing if he brought them?
