I can't fucking see. I apologise for all typos but I don't even know I'm making them because I can't see them. I can't exactly touch type, this is the closest I can get. Yes, my glasses finally gave up the ghost, and Mrs WIlliams refuses to let me go out and get them fixed until my mother rings up the school, which gives me a huge fuck-off problem because I can't see!

Well. it's not as if I can't see anything. Sitting here, I can see the letters forming on the screen, but I'm not exactly sure what they are. Shouldn't be using HTML, I've no doubt the tags will all go wrong. Anyway. I will ring my mother when she reaches work, but she was talking about an induction day thingit today which means she might not be where she's supposed to be and if she's not I am in big heap trouble. I cannot do a timed essay next. I can't fucking see it.

Megan, being the only person listening to Mrs Williams this morning, therefore learnt that we have group photos soon. Group means group of friends, and the logistics are fairly complex. For example, Meg and Kat will want a picture with Charlene and Nicola, and that's the first complication. I want Yusra and Saria to be in a photo, and but the only one I'm commited to will have have me, Becca, cucharita and _detroit in it. Awww. Best friends.

That's all. If I could see I would be in a good mood now.

The other thing - I finished the fic for hathy_col. It's a pile of crap because I can't check the accuracy of the canon quotes. However, I have been out of the fandom for a year, so I consider this an achievement.

Blurry red and green fuzz

My glasses are fixed! I can see!

And what's more, the school cleared me to go after a lot of bureaucracy, and off I went into the village. The optician-people were very helpful and did it in five minutes, but not being one to waste an opportunity, I ambled off in the direction of the village proper. I was even confident about the traffic lights. Blurry red and green fuzz is not usually an indicator of safety or otherwise, but it’s all I could go on when I was half-blind. Obviously I was breaking dozens of rules, but I went into Pritchards. I always feel safe from everything, even the apocalypse, in a bookshop. So I spent a very pleasant ten minutes before returning to school, signing in and listening to the secretaries moaning about the huge amount of interruptions by the door buzzer they have to face.
So, they’re distracted from whatever it is they do at their desks to do their jobs?

Anyway. I rang my mother, told her the good news, bought a packet of Revels, and then went on a general wandering around the school. I was going to lurk in the library – there’s no way in hell I’m going back to English – but it was full and I crashed one of the computers, so I came up here instead. I obviously shouldn’t be here (first computer room) either, but I am typing this into a Word document so at least it looks like I’m not on the internet. I’ve got Drama next, which may actually be a good thing as I’ve spent the entire day so far online. I wouldn’t have anything to do.

Except maybe work. Twenty minutes more, but at least I’ve not had to do that To Kill a Mockingbird essay. It’s timed, and I couldn’t have done it anyway if I hadn’t been able to see. It’s just today and tomorrow left now, if you ignore Thursday which I steadfastly am. It also means I have to do those stupid make-up sketches. I don’t draw, I don’t sketch. Why do people not understand this?

And I’ve just finished that packet of Revels. Oops.

Oh, yes - one more thing. I am now co-moderator of a community, mash100th. It's going to be a M*A*S*H drabble challenge community, for which I made the layout. It's also going to have one of the "My fandom..." icons, but I don't know which one. I would say the crazy people one but apestaartje already claimed it. Maybe the "My fandom is older than yours" one. I'l have to think about it, maybe create a poll later on.
