"Introducing organic chemistry..."

Yes, guess who hasn't revised for this afternoon. I know absolutely nothing. But I want to go home and make icons. Love [livejournal.com profile] scarlatti. Mmmm.

But no, I am sitting in the computer room with a copy of Chemistry for AQA propped up against the keyboard. I ought to not be here at all. I am of course skiving dance... but I could skive it much more productively if I went somewhere to revise, and who knows, I may do, once I have typed all of this.

It is April, which makes me think of [livejournal.com profile] cruelest_month. Yesterday, I remarked casually to Becca that it hadn't rained for a week. Well... April showers are all that can be expected. And it is also April Fools' Day. Apparently - I just missed this - the class sneaked upstairs when Mrs Williams was on approach and hid upstairs. She of course entered ML4 to find it utterly and completely empty, and went upstairs to look for everyone, whom in the meantime went tearing across the corridor, towards the chemistry labs, downstairs, through the hall and back into ML4, where they all sat down in their chairs looking angelic - just in time for Mrs Williams to come in. She dealt with it very well.

Apparently, you have to stop playing pranks at noon, but we plan to ignore this for drama, because of those bitches from last week who shut us in the soundbox. Maybe we can mow them down with an air machine gun, a la Yusra. She could do very good sound effects which I cannot reproduce here.

Okay... and now, alkanes!

Quiet...

Quiet day. Everyone has been so very tired for no immediately apparent reason, and Rebecca Odedun seems to have discovered Californication five years after everyone else. She played it so many times it's stuck in my head, and I keep humming it vaguely and trying to make myself stop it before I start annoying myself, which is never a good feeling.

I have lots to do, which I shall do in a moment... but not right now. I'll do my coursework first. For, as [livejournal.com profile] speccygeekgrrl has already said, today is a day ripe for revolution. After all, obsession with characters who are, after all, utterly fictional, is not the way to pass my exams. So, in fact, I may not make icons as I was planning. I may go and learn French vocab. Apparently passive learning works just as well, if not better, than active learning, so why not do that, rather than lurk on the internet?

[Sorry, DaChan! Love you muchly!]

A few more "My fandom" icons. A word to [livejournal.com profile] tobiascharity - if you want these for your page, please, please take them. I don't have much webspace for them and may delete them in a few days' time.
And I took all the screencaps from [livejournal.com profile] scarlatti, and there isn't a single one of Mulcahy!

Rambling...

Have just been watching M*A*S*H with Pedar. I'm always profoundly grateful he likes the show so much... makes for many, many less arguments over the Sky remote. Anyway, in the couple of episodes we just watched, Hawk and Trap had to deal with a general who dies when... ahem... engaging in certain indoor sports with Margaret, and the duo have to somehow dispose of the body without letting the world know what the guy was doing when he died. Various other things happened... Trapper falls asleep on a gurney in the OR, which later catches fire. Radar falls asleep and gets siphoned for blood.

The thing is... Pedar claims that all these things have happened to him at one point or another. I can believe he fell asleep in theatre. I can believe he was siphoned for blood. I can even believe the theatre caught fire and they had to rush the patients out. However, I had my doubts about the other thing. He claims a visiting consultant died in the doctors' residence, whilst doing... something... and the Powers That Be had a hell of a time sorting it all out. Imagine the paperwork.

Pedar is, by all accounts, a very good surgeon. Does not, however, explain why he's broken his fingers four times while in surgery.

Remind me again why I don't want to be a doctor?
