Of course, we know why
loneraven's called Iona, don't we... ;)
No, Emily, you know why I'm called Iona!
So, to confuse everyone else:
1. What does your first name mean?
It means "rich in knowledge," or so I'm told. Apparently I was given it because my grandparents believed I would grow up to be intelligent. My grandfather was the only person who's ever called me by my first name, but he died last year, so now no-one does.
2. What does your middle name mean?
Iona is a Hebridean island, supposedly where I was conceived, which is really not something I need to know. As for what the name itself means, I don't know... it comes from Greek, I think, and may mean amethyst, but I'm not sure.
3. What does your last name mean?
Not a clue. It's very common, so it must mean something, but I don't have any idea what.
4. So what does your name mean when put together?
Knowledgable amethyst? Oddness.
5. What would you have been named if you were the opposite gender?
Hamish.
Yeah, I know.
6. Any other name oddities?
Um... I'm Indian, with a never-used Sanskrit first name and Greek/Celtic nickname that everyone calls me... odd enough?
The end.
