All bets need witnesses

I had a long entry typed - but thanks to the intrinsic bloody-mindedness of the Internet Explorer, I've lost it.
I don't want to type it again. It mostly consisted of how things are better in the morning. They are.
Anyway, snowdrop24 and I have been having a civilised argument, about our respective hit counters. I think hers goes up faster than mine, she thinks mine goes up faster than hers.

ShippyLittleKitten: brb, hit counter checking
ShippyLittleKitten: 1271 - front page
Raven: *nods* mine went over 1500 yesterday, that's all I know.
ShippyLittleKitten: 1602 for yours
ShippyLittleKitten: *grrr*
Raven: why?!
ShippyLittleKitten: becuase yours goes up so quickly!

Then followed a period of me moaning because my journal entry was wiped, and then:

ShippyLittleKitten: mine...1703
Raven: see! yours is always above mine....
ShippyLittleKitten: no!
Raven: yes it is!
ShippyLittleKitten: it won't be for long! yours goes up a couple of hundred a day!

Then followed me trying my best to argue my case:

Raven: that's not true!
ShippyLittleKitten: is!
ShippyLittleKitten: mine has gone up....about 40 in a day
Raven: isn't!
ShippyLittleKitten: yours had gone up 100!

But the proof's in the pudding.

ShippyLittleKitten: anyway - i bet you anything your hit counter will reach 2000 before mine
Raven: I'll take that bet. If I lose, I'll imitate a coffee percolator.
ShippyLittleKitten: *stops self before turning this conversation into another did/didn't/cruvus conversation*
ShippyLittleKitten: hmm
ShippyLittleKitten: what do i have to do?
Raven: um.... *thinks* imitate a washing machine.
ShippyLittleKitten: oh god!
ShippyLittleKitten: how?
Raven: I leave that to your discretion.

It's a safe bet. I can't possibly lose.

how will you know when either of you pass the 2000 mark?
i mean what happens if you are both past it? how will you know who past it first?
and plus. i really want to see you be a coffee percolator.
except what is a coffee percolator???

We'll know, because we both have hit counters that we check on regular intervals. If we're both past it, then either we'll cancel the bet, or the one whose counter is higher loses!

A coffee percolator is a thingit that does nice things to coffee - think Nescafe adverts....

If mine gets to 2000 first, I have to be a coffee percolator. If hers gets to 2000 first, she has to be a washing machine(!)
