raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (suicide is painless)
[personal profile] raven
So, after a morning in school, during which I had a Physics test (which I forgot to put my name on) and a Classics essay (which I also forgot to put my name on) I was free. At midday.
I wish I'd gone into town with Em and Hannah and Clare, but I really couldn't, because of that parcel that had to be signed for. However, Becca wanted to come over. I didn't mind. Well, to be honest, I thought I might, but I didn't.
We went to hers for about five minutes - so she could get changed and I could admire the wonderful new sanded sans wallpaper look of her house at present - and then got the train here. It was freezing cold. Horrible. It was while Becca was scrambling eggs that I decided to go out and hit the boiler.
I went out. I hit it. And what do you know, it worked! The house is now definitely warmer, if not warm, and my mood is proportionally improved.
Becca and I spent the afternoon flicking through the music channels and downloading stuff - she'd never seen the weird green ADSL modem before, which I think is strange, as that means she hasn't been here since August 12th, and that can't be right.
Although, come to think of it, I have been to hers quite a lot in that time. It's a pity we don't live closer to each other.
Anyway. I thought I would have a lot to write about, but I don't. I don't know what Becca and I talked about for all that time, but we must have talked about something, because five hours appear to have passed.
Oh, yes - while we were talking, I redid her journal layout ([livejournal.com profile] chanandlerbong) and I am very proud of it, even though it's just a simple one. It occurred to me while I was doing it that I've done all her journal layouts, except the little bit that [livejournal.com profile] sprog did, but that was ages ago.
Anyway. I do wish I'd gone to town, but my afternoon has been so much better than expected that I'm quite content for once.
And that's that.

I never put my name on anything. It's a school tradition.
Luckily I have extremely distinctive handwriting, as most people round here know...
