What happens in times of stress

If anyone says the words "pop concert" again I will do more than scream. I already did that today.
The last rehearsal was in the morning. Laura Baker began the bitching then. She accused me of bitching about her behind her back (huh?) giving her "snotty looks" yesterday (I was half-delirious yesterday!) and generally undermining her when her nan died.
So, let me get this straight. I take your job as the compere because you can't do it, I write the script, come to the rehearsals, practise with Enid, and I'm undermining you? For fuck's sake! I am the compere! That's what I do!
At least, I was the compere. Enid is stressed, and no longer wants her job. I'm inclined to agree. She arrived with half of her class to scream at me. At first I screamed back. Until I was vaguely hysterical and ready to kill. Then I stormed out the classroom to find a quiet place to die, or at least get away from them. Becca noticed. She cam storming out of the classroom behind me, saw the people trying to follow me shrieking "It's our pop concert and you're ruining it for everybody!" and she took a deep breath....
"PISS OFF!"
And she hugged me right there in the midst of the chaos, and went with me out towards the quad. But some of the scally brigade followed - I've forgotten that girl's name... Jenny Cheshire? With the horrible accent? Anyway, her and all her little friends tried to follow, and maybe I'd picked up something off Becca, but I screamed at them to piss off, but they didn't. It was only the combined efforts of Becca, Emma (sprog) and Ella that made them go away.
So. Laura Baker has the compere's job. Enid and I have both withdrawn.
I don't know what to do.
(sprog's advice was the best - "Tell them to all get dildoes and stop taking out their sexual tension on you!")

We got our jobs back because.... *cue drum roll* Baker has lost her voice, and her script has been rejected as being too reminiscent of Dale Winton. Oh, the irony!
