Dear author,

Many thanks for writing for me! Here are the fandoms I requested:

Brooklyn Nine-Nine
I've no idea how you could write a scary Brooklyn Nine-Nine story. If you do, have at it, I am dying to see. Otherwise: I love this show and anything you write will be perfect. I love Amy and Rosa's friendship, I love how Captain Holt is unreadable, I love how Jake and Boyle are BFF and Jake and Gina grew up together and Terry and his adorable twins and basically everything about this stupid show.

(p.s. I am going to watch the show hopefully in close to real time when it comes back in late September - don't fret about spoiling me.)

The Big Bang Theory
I feel like they could fight off a zombie apocalypse together. (Well, Penny could.) Or a TERRIBLE MONSTER created in a TERRIBLE LAB ACCIDENT. (Well, Penny could.) Or maybe it's a ghost story, but it's okay, because they have glow sticks and wine. (Well. Penny has the wine.) Or maybe it's just them dressing up like the Justice League again, or hanging more plastic skeletons off the ceiling, or, or, you get it, whether it's fluff or morbid and creepifying, I am all for it. :)

How I Met Your Mother
I'm rewatching this show from the beginning right now and I'd forgotten how delightfully timey-wimey it is. It's all people telling stories about people telling stories in flashback and flashforward and twist back and forwards and round again. It's the perfect show for campfire tales, is what I'm saying. Or maybe Carl really is a vampire? Or Robin is reporting on the rise of the creatures from the deep? Or the lights go out and Marshall and Lily and Ted huddle for warmth? Or maybe the kids in 2030 actually live in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and we just never see it in external shot? Um, I love this show a lot, write what you want!

Generally: so I requested all sitcoms, because I love sitcoms, but this does not mean I only want fluff! Although of course fluff and happy stuff is great, if the story in your mind is a serious and/or sad story, that is very much okay with me, I love those. Generally, I like: competence, people expressing their love in non-conventional ways, silly tropes, and found family. I don't like - well, am not asking for, this time - PWPs. Where I've specified characters, don't feel super-constrained or anything - write me an ensemble piece if that's what's in your head! I hope you have fun.

thank you kindly,
Raven

Ah, HIMYM. I lost track of it in later seasons but when it was good it was very very good. And after all that faff, I did really like the Mother.

Me too! The show has a lot of warmth and affection for its characters, I do like it a lot.
