One of the remaining wedding tasks is figuring out the music. Am currently resisting the urge to replace Mendelssohn with "I knew you were trouble when you walked in".

(Getting married in five weeks! Permanently unemployed in three!)

Stories:

For cosmic_llin, five times Margaret Houlihan was really proud of herself (well-behaved women seldom make history) (also at the AO3);

For jennygriffee, five episodes of M*A*S*H that Cecil and Carlos watched together (this is radio nowhere)

For philomytha, five four times Simon Illyan nearly resigned (and then it was too late).

And "wild dreams of a new beginning", five times Carlos surprised Cecil, is on the AO3 now as well.

Some friends of ours had the main theme from the Bakshi(?) animated 'Lord of the Rings' movie as their recessional (worked pretty well, too). I threatened to have Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries' as mine... but chickened out. The problem with non-traditional themes music for a wedding is finding a score/adaptation and someone capable of playing it, unfortunately.

Hooray wedding! I think. Er. Um. V calm really yes. I really hope you like Night Vale - I find Cecil soothing enough to fall asleep to, which is no mean feat in these trying times, but even that aside I love the stupid show SO MUCH. Lovely Cecil, and perfect and beautiful Carlos, and Cecil's series of redshirt interns, and the sheriff's secret police, and the City Council's ban on wheat and wheat by-products, and oh SHOW. I love it sooo.

Well, "white" is perhaps not the term, but yes, kind of. Our first, small (and legal!) wedding is in Scotland in a few weeks; there's an Indian wedding in Delhi in December.
