Hello, hello. My name is Raven, it's nice to meet you. Thank you for writing for me; I hope you enjoy it and I hope you don't find it difficult; I am easy-going as pie, honest. I will enjoy anything you write for me, and more so if you enjoyed writing it. I have no triggers, if that worries you - especially in fandoms of ANGST and HORROR - and I like happy stories, sad stories, wistful stories, thoughtful stories, sparse stories, etc., etc. I don't especially go for cracky or off-the-wall, but otherwise I will read most anything.

Some additional detail follows below, if you would find that helpful.

Here's what I requested:

M*A*S*H (Hawkeye Pierce, Margaret Houlihan)^[1]

If you wouldn't mind awfully, dear author, I'd rather you didn't actually pair the two of them together. I love Hawkeye and Margaret very much individually, and the relationship between them, even more so, because of how they genuinely evolve from hating each other to grudgingly tolerating each other to sort of maybe respecting each other to being spiky, punchy, combative but real friends. Something about their friendship - that's what I would like, very much.

I've been rewatching M*A*S*H lately, a full ten years after being in the fandom the first time, which is why, I think, I'm making this rather unconventional request; while I totally love M*A*S*H slash, not least because it rhymes, and would be more than okay with it in a fic, I have written an awful lot of it in the past and am looking for something different. (This is just to say, I am not a random homophobe on the internet. Not that you would think so, but, y'know.)

Anyway, M*A*S*H! A fandom of my heart - I love it for its wit, its wisdom, how it can be heartbreaking and hilarious and deeply human, all at once. If you love it too, you and I are already going to get along just fine.

(Also, if you are longtime in the fandom and are wondering "Is she that girl...?" - then yes. I am. Sorry. Please don't hold it against me.)

Sapphire & Steel (Sapphire, Steel)

What I love about the show is the mystery, and the way it sets up this totally inhuman relationship between Sapphire & Steel - they're friends and colleagues, maybe, and maybe lovers, but it's all so inquantifiable and inhuman and weird. I love that. Basically: I'm a sucker for the elementals. If it has the two of them in, I'm happy.

Yes, pretty much just that. I love this show because it's so subtly creepy and it gets under your skin. I would like pretty much anything in the fandom.

Diana Wynne Jones - A Tale of Time City (Vivian Smith)

So what happened, after Vivian left 1940s England, her family, everything she knew, for a new life in Time City? I really want to know.

It's not the only time DWJ does this - I don't know if you've also read the Chronicles of Chrestomanci, dear author, but if so, she also does it to Janet, who leaves her whole life and everything she cares about in order to live in Chrestomanci's world with his family. And there are good reasons for it at the time, just as there are for Vivian, but you've got to ask - how? How do you deal with that, how do you come to terms with it, how do you make a life for yourself somewhere else, especially when you're as young as Vivian is?

Also: I specified Vivian, because she's the main character, but if you fancied it, I would be happy with an ensemble piece with the Time City characters, because I love them all. Jonathan and Sam, Jonathan's mother, I love all of them, and also, omg, Sempitern Walker, I adore him and his hilarious outfits and hilarious temper tantrums. They are all lovely, as is Vivian. Basically, anything set in Time City would make me very, very happy.

Anyway! Have a lovely time writing, dear author, and don't worry too much about me, if you like it, I will like it. I should mention at this point that I will be travelling around a bit from December 23rd, so if you don't hear from me on Christmas Day it is not not not because I hate you. I will be back just as soon as I can.

I do not, but I nominated a couple of fandoms with characters that only had one name, and they were UNIQUE names, I checked, there's no other Gwenhyfara on AO3, nor Ertrex, but ONE NAME IS NOT ENOUGH and the wranglers helpfully added what fandom they were in to their names so they are now "Gwenhyfara (Perilous Gard)" and "Ertrex (Stolen Law)" which is... sort of hilarious, because Ertrex isn't even unique to the book Stolen Law, he's in *both* Dancing Meteorite and Stolen Law, which I nominated together as one fandom. *facepalm*
