Doctor Who - The Big Bang

Doctor Who! Oh, how lovely, how truly lovely. It made ABSOLUTELY NO PLOT SENSE. I mean. Why did Amy's parents disappear in the first place? How did Earth exist at "the eye of the storm" long enough for Amelia to be born and turn seven but then start collapsing hours later? WE SHALL NEVER KNOW. Nevetheless, a lovely episode, I though - no plot or scientific sense, but it made thematic sense, yes, I feel like that's what supposed to happen. (Who watches Who for the sense in it? Seriously.) Things I like in particular:
-Amelia, who is so smart, so resourceful and so independent. I kind of expected the Pandorica to be in the Musée d'Orsay! Ah, well.
-Hijinks involving Rory, the Doctor, the mop, the screwdriver and the fez. That actually did make perfect sense, and I really like, generally, the way Moffatt makes use of time-travel properly as part of his plots.
-Rory. The "lone centurion". I kind of want (to write?) fic about his 2000 years on Earth being determined and plastic. Also, I'd like some fic about how he's dealing with being plastic.I bet he's great in bed.
-Amy's lovely, isn't she? She's so beautiful. Amy is so beautiful and I LOVE HER. I love how capable she is in this, from the moment she wakes up. Also she's beautiful. (And I love her.)
-The Doctor's lovely, too, isn't he? So much softer, sweeter and kinder than the last one - hey, I loved Tennant, I loved Ten, but in an entirely different way - and I love his kissing Amy on the forehead. And being so very attracted to River. That little exchange: "Are you asking?" - oh, I love their dynamic, the way I can actually picture them being in a, not functional, but functional-for-them, relationship.
-River makes the Dalek shout for mercy. Did I mention, I want to be her when I grow up.
-Surprisingly: Amy's mum! She only gets thirty seconds onscreen, and gets characterisation! "Throw it out if it's an atrocity."
-"And you're my tiny little dad!"
-AMY AND RORY GET MARRIED. (And Rory is "Mr Pond"! yes!) I am a sucker for a wedding, and isn't it lovely? They do get married - and then the show turns around and says, hey, did you think a woman's life is over the second she gets married? Er... no.
In short: love. I liked that a lot, I liked the whole season a lot, I think it's the best of the new Who seasons, bless you, Moffatt, and Amy is beautiful and Scottish.
