Dear yuletide author(s),

I don't actually celebrate Christmas. In my time zone, it's 2am, I am wide awake and eating pretty much an entire Christmas fruitcake by myself and my family have decided that all we need to do tomorrow is travel four hundred miles in order to have a sit-down Christmas lunch with turkey. And booze.

I am, as you might expect, a little baffled by all of this.

Anyway. I am taking my laptop, and I hope to read your story as the archive goes live, but there's a real chance I will be kidnapped by my extended family and never seen again, or failing that I will just sink to the bottom of the bathtub under the weight of all the cake to never be glimpsed again by mortal men. You know. So: I am sure I will absolutely love what you have for me, but I may not get to it as soon as I'd like to! Don't think I don't love you, because that just totally isn't true.

A very merry Christmas, if you celebrate, and happy Friday if you don't.
