So, right. Say there was a film, right. It was a film about Buddhist cooks working in a restaurant, right. A high school AU about Buddhist cooks working in a restaurant, right. And they were dead. Oh, and also the film wasn't very good. Would that be an omnomzomromcom bomb?

Thank you, I'll be here all night.

Except not, actually, as I have just been sagely informed Thou Shalt Not Have Internet Until September 21st. WOE. It is WOE, I tell you. So while I have much to say about Bristol and what I did there and whatnot, it shall all have to wait. But I want to note for the record that despite the lack of connectivity (and weird, multi-dimensional tendency towards flooding) I love my new place. It is all clean and shiny and has a washing machine and oodles of space and is mine all mine yay. Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] foreverdirt and [livejournal.com profile] shimgray and I watched Jeeves & Wooster and ate cookies (and also decided that some great names for future children are Ford Arthur, Donna Martha and Spuffy Spangelus). It was win. Today there was morning, and I got up, and how can a day improve from there. It has reached its pinnacle.

But yes. I am here, but not here, so to speak. I will return to the land of the online in a week or so. If [livejournal.com profile] yuletide starts nominations between now and then please someone call me; otherwise I shall rise like Lazarus from the sea (do I mean Aphrodite from the sea? I think I do) in another week.

I HATE YOU.

If they had a D/s relationship, it could be an omnomdomzomromcom bomb?

And if they were British Buddhist cooks working in an Australian restaurant, etc, it could be an omnomdompomzomromcom bomb.

I MAY BE TAKING THIS TOO FAR.

Ooo, and if they overindulged in the restaurant's booze, it could be...no! Dammit! Zombies don't have bodily fluids, so it could not be an omnomdompomvomzomromcom bomb!

I'M GOING TO KEEP LEAVING COMMENTS UNTIL YOU EMAIL ME OR CALL ME BACK TO SIGNAL YOUR ENDURING LOVE, YOU KNOW.

I am laughing so hard it hurts a bit.

If one of their mothers was a key character, it could be an onnomdomzompommomvompromromcom bomb?

Aw. I was kidding, if not clear! Tone is an awkward thing.

Were you sitting at the computer sounding out all the [letter of alphabet]om words you could think of? My work mates may think I am a bit strange.

*rimshot*

I won't lie, though, that kind of made my day.

I am sorry about your internet! I hope it returns promptly!

I'd guessed, and was kind-of kidding as well, so no worries. Tone is especially awkward in text-only formats. :)

I was, but luckily I am alone in my room and only the armchair is thinking that I'm a bit strange. (I'm fairly sure it thought that anyway.)

On the other hand, if someone made inauthentic Vietnamese soup, that would clearly be a faux-pho faux pas.

Aha! I tried some variant of that one but couldn't get it to work.

(A love story set during the English Civil War could be a cromromcom)

(...and, of course, a story about two male cats and their inept escapades would be a tomcom)

I have moved to a teeny-tiny postgrad permanent place of my own! It has a bathroom of my very own (which floods on a regular basis) and a kitchen with a washing machine (which also floods on a regular basis) which is not my very own but I only have to share with one person so far. It is in East Oxford, in grim aspect halfway up a hill, and I looooove it.

NO INTERNET! That drove me crazy in second year, when we were waiting for it to be installed. *hugs* It is woe indeed.

Might I possibly have your address? PM/e-mail or something, of course. I have your book (and something else) to send to you.

Heh, and who can blame you when even my own family were surprised by this fact. No, I am back in university accommodation and it is shiny.
