That was sweet, even if Lady Christina de Souza was the most annoying person ever to be on the show ever. I really liked Nathan and Barclay, and yay, them getting to join UNIT! Is that the Doctor finally realising that people need to eat and sleep and, y'know, hold down jobs? Actually, all the characters on the bus were nicely drawn - they're fleshed out very nicely in their brief appearances, which I approve of. Also, the flying bus. Flying buses are awesome. So was Malcolm, the dorky scientist, in his way.

I also like that the new series has entirely thrown off its aversion to mentioning the older one. Robot was mentioned! And how much do I love the fact the Doctor stole the TARDIS originally? I'm glad they haven't god rid of that bit of backstory.

...but basically, I now want to write a series of AUs entitled Giant Houseflies Do Earth. Giant Houseflies check out London! They go on the London Eye! They take extended holidays in landfill!

...yeah. Revision is making me quite crazy.

Giant Houseflies in Starfleet! Ahem.

Also I texted Emma, but: Who and Quatermass are in the same universe. Am GLAD, though what that means for the Tennant-character in the 2005 version I don't know...

As I think she texted you, 'Bernard' was mentioned back in Remembrance of the Daleks, back in 1988, with more of the relationships between Quatermass's British Rocket Group being detailed in the novelization (worth tracking down).
