Ye gods, I am spammy these days. (No doubt I then won't post for two months or something, to make up for it.) Anyway! Two public service announcements:

-Firstly, I just got a nice little email from the admin-type people at the central admissions board, and it looks like, if I pass my exams this year, I will have a place at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice (OXILP, usually; one day I'll get over my allergy to abbreviations) for the LPC, and so will be in Oxford for the academic year 2009-10, as well as this one. So that's nice. We all need a plan.

-Secondly, I am changing meds again - from citalopram to fluoxetine - and as such, in the next few days, if I am teary, flaky and scary, it's probably just a consequence of my winning personality but there is at least a statistical chance that it isn't, and many thanks for patience.

(And, just to make up for continuous spam, the Mousehole is rocking to Amanda Palmer. Have these: Leeds United; Runs in the Family. The second one in particular is fucking awesome.)

Me toooo. By the end of it, I'll have lived in this city five years. Wow.

(omg, I take all the blame! Hurrah!)

Yay indeed for Oxford!

(And for Merlin. Have you seen last week's episode, 'The Moment of Truth'? You thought it was slashy before...)

Have you seen the rocking video for Leeds United, the one that we didn't quite have the energy to run off to London for the day and be extras in? If you haven't seen, it may be because Amanda's record company has refused to promote it, because they had a spat with Amanda and the video-makers about it, because they (the record company) thought Amanda looked fat.

Fortunately, the video is rather high-energy and watching it may help with the feminist rage you are probably feeling after that first paragraph.

Oh that's what Runs in the Family is -- oddly comforting now that I hear the lyrics.

I tried a bunch of different meds before I one that works for me, cymbalta. It was recommended by an LJ friend and I am very grateful to her.

I'm on my third med, so I might be lucky this time, we shall see. I only get prescribed generics, of course. :)

And thank you for the music.

*grins* I didn't really do much for it, but I'm glad of it. And you're very welcome!

Hello darling. *squish* That is marvellous about OXILP (which I keep wanting to type as 'oxslip'). And I really hope that the change of meds goes smoothly.

*air-drumming* Runs in the Family is catchy and punchy and fab. Thank you.

Also, sorry for re-commenting just to add a closing bracket, but it was annoying me!

Hello! Thank you very much. The meds change is so far making me a little distant and sleepy, but nothing else. Fingers crossed. Am glad you like Amanda Palmer! The whole album is a delight.

Yay, well done! A plan is indeed very good. Also, I hope changing drugs helps, and I hope it doesn't take too long. I know sometimes you have to come off things slowly, and get on to other things slowly, and some kinds of anti-depressants interact badly which can make things even slower, so I hope that things are much better than I have just made them sound, and not too drawn out. And obviously that they are better drugs for you. *hugs*

Plans! They are indeed good. The citalopram and fluoxetine switchover is easy on the body, I am told - they have similar mechanisms and you can just switch without the tapering off period, so we shall see...

Leeds United = best song EVER. Although the whole album is quite good, says I.

And yay for baby lawyer progress and I hope the fluoxitine works out.

Well, I've been listening to it since you sent it to me, but the whole house seems to have got into it recently. It is indeed Rather Good!

Fluoxetine does seem to be working out! Fingers crossed...
