Please allow me a moment of complete and utter incoherent panic:

...thank you. The Examination Schools website has finally published the PPE timetable. My exams, apparently, begin on Wednesday 21st May and finish exactly one week later on May 28th, which leads me to the not-appealing conclusion that I'll have eight three-hour exams in seven days, with one day of two exams because in their infinite wisdom, the university don't have exams on a Sunday.

In full, it looks like this:


Wednesday, May 21st - 9.30am, International Relations
Thursday, May 22nd - 2.30pm, Ethics
Friday, May 23rd - 9.30am, Political Theory
Saturday, May 24th - 9.30am, History of Philosophy from Descartes to Kant
Monday, May 26th - 9.30am, Politics in South Asia
Tuesday, May 27th - 2.30pm, Philosophy of Mind
Wednesday, May 28th - 9.30am, Aesthetics and Philosophy of Criticism, 2.30pm, International Relations in the Era of the Cold War

In some ways I'm glad because at least it's over in one high-energy flash, and over quickly - halfway through sixth week, and I'm done - but also, I'm a little concerned about how exhausted I'm going to be, especially as my day with two exams is my last day.

But still. What this boils down to, basically, is that at half past five on May 28th, you are all obliged to come to Exam Schools and shower me with glitter.

In slightly happier news, Holi mubarek and all of that. Now, back to panicking!

This means I can get half my timetable. I have three exams the first two days (19th/20th)and then nothing till the 30th/31st of May! My worst paper is also on a saturday afternoon. just need the times of my final three papers now.

Nope and one of my economic papers (decisions within the firm) is missing too, but then I am the only E&M taking it the others are all ME&M or EE&M. I seem to remember for prelims too PPE was published way before E&M.

That... royally sucks. Universities seem to not be thinking straight when they schedule exams. (This semester, all of my finals are on the same day, back to back to back.)

I know it's different for everyone, but some of my best exams (e.g. best of my mods papers) have been at the very end of the exam period. One goes beyond tiredness into sublimity! (That, at least, is the theory.)

I will fell any adversaries who get in the way of my attendance at your finishing, and Laura's too. I will KILL THEM with my RAPIER. *channels Geoffrey, always a good thing*
