If you could see my last entry, and now you can't, I'm sorry about that and I am planning to make it public again soon. (Anonymous commenter(s), whoever you are, please comment here if you want to tell me anything further.) I've made the previous entry friends only for a reason that should have occured to me before. [livejournal.com profile] vamp_bite, sweetie, thank you so much for what you've been doing.

You wrote it, you have copyright. Even if you don't put a (c) or © there, it's covered by copyright law. Wikipedia is god (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_law_of_the_United_Kingdom), but there's a better summary at a different Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright#United_Kingdom_copyright_methodology):

British law states that an individual's work is placed under copyright law as soon as it leaves that person's mind and is placed in some physical form…. Once in physical form, as long as it is an original work…, copyright in that work is automatically [owned by] the person who put the concept into material form.

Sorry, not sure if you wanted this here or not, but this is the best place I have to put it...

Are these familiar too?

Dear Mr Friend.
You are love. Seriously!
The thoughts we share are grande, the closeness thing is in fact amazing
You are just fantabulous, and yes, I will stop spamming you now.

Omg i thought about the things that never happened scenario.... heres this
Something happens when she's thirteen. For some reason, there's a book she never reads and a day when she never turns the television on at the right moment. Fandom never happens. She's thirteen, and she thinks she has friends. She's fourteen, and she thinks it with a little less conviction. She's sixteen, and she's so unhappy, she doesn't even know she is. She's eighteen, and she's never really done much of anything

Mr Familiar

Did you ever get the urge to re-enact part six of Genesis of the Daleks?
Yes I thought to myself...
There is now photographic evidence of me being threatened by a sink plunger whilst a Battenburg TARDIS lands in the background.

One little compliment can make you feel amazing. So give me a compliment, anything in the entire world, even that my shoelaces are pretty I will undoubtedly invade your g/b with complete Joyful squee.
Embarrassing I suppose but ......yes, feel free to say what you wish now.

(see http://love.lycos.co.uk/lovelycos/personal/guestbook.jsp?id=barensis - you will need to have a login)

I think this type of behaviour is absolutely appalling and the individual deserves all they get. Reading earlier comments on your journal, it would appear that she has been copying your friends also.

Can you make this private too?

Until seventy years after the author's death. Then public domain, yay.

What is this 'British law' of which you speak?

This "British law" is Wikipedia's wording. As for which parts of the United Kindom it applies to, I haven't a clue. Hell, it's Wikipedia -- you know better than me, so go change it!
