There is joy. Really! First of all, Liya seems to have mostly recovered from the Sleazy Bastard incident. I think I really, really shouldn't let stuff like this happen to her. I can cope with it. Most of the time. Anyway.

Moving on, okay, maybe not unmitigated joy, because, well, did I go to Intro to French Politics? Did I fuck. It was from ten to eleven, and my eyes didn't actually open until half past. Also, being an idiot, I forgot to set my alarm. Yep, I fail at life. That said, Sudhir did not mention the lecture (much) in the tute, and did not blink when I appeared with a steaming cup of soup provided by Claire and proceeded to eat it through the tute. Also, he said my essay was structured and coherently argued! I am coherent! I read the annotation and made small "yay!" noises, as this is the much-maligned French Fourth Republic essay of doom.

And, I finally got around to buying myself a birthday present. (Less pathetic than it sounds; my parents couldn't think of anything so told me to buy something pretty and send them the bill, at which point I exploded out of general love.) Therefore I am now the proud owner of tiny, squishy, fuzzy pink laptop speakers. No more tinniness. I am very pleased with the world.

Yes, he did. There was an article in Entertainment Wekly that said Joss had claimed to be done with Firefly/Serenity for good. The qupte in my icon (made by lordessrenegade) is taken from a short thing he wrote denouncing the article.

For some reason, I'm thinking of them discussing ancient literature, and he mysterious beings it contains clues to-- Daniel and the Doctor (and that's a confusing title; Daniel still answers to 'Doctor', so there is potential for amusing misunderstandings) carefully skirting around what Giles doesn't know, about the demons actually being aliens.

But that's just my plot bunny. You can se it if you like but feel free to get your own.
