Updates and stuff

I've spent most of the last two days updating Sleeping With Ghosts, and have attempted to change the layout a bit. Not much - a new banner, which I'm quite pleased with, and lots and lots of tables - but it looks a little better. I'm always plagued with an inferiority complex when it comes to designing websites, because my skills are so minimal. My website is not my canvas, it is my all-purpose bin for fic. Hence the usual crappiness of the layout. Anyway, it's almost done and the banner is driving me mad. It looks much too big in 800x600, and stupidly small in everything else, and I definitely don't want to make two versions because that would indicate commitment.

Still, I suppose it's the fic that counts. Five Doctor Who fics - Flowers For The Doctor, Bohemian Rose, After Ever Happily, Children of the Revolution, Effects and Lovers, 'Tis Almost Fairy-Time - one Buffy fic - In Blue - and three old PegB stories - Walking Barefoot, Love Story and Killing The Cat.

There are some recs, too, but they've all been on LJ already.

Hello! I was browsing little_details and followed your Tom Baker icon to your profile. ;-) There I found common_rotation and some lovely icons, so I was well pleased.

I was wondering about your Remus icon. The user you have it credited to no longer exists. I think it's absolutely beautiful. Was it created just for you, or was it free-to-all? Basically, do you suppose it would be all right for me to use it too, with the same credit you have given it?

If not, well--lovely icon. :)

To venture an answer a question I found elsewhere in your recent entries--I'm guessing 4th Doctor/Romana fic might seem a little too much real-person fic for some people's tastes given the real-life marriage. But I sympathize. I'm catching up on the Big Finish audios right now and it's lovely to hear Lalla Ward in the role again.

Hi! That icon certainly wasn't just made for me, go ahead and snatch it. I love it, myself; that pesky life-long (well, since I was ten) crush on Remus just won't go away. :)

I suppose in a way it's the real-life relationship that makes me want the fic; even if the dialogue isn't explicitly shippy, the two seem to exude chemistry whenever they're around each other. I'm catching up on Four and Romana II at the moment and thoroughly enjoying myself. I met Lalla Ward a couple of months ago, as it happens. She was lovely. :)
