Fuck. I slept through most of it, only just got up and realised what was happening. I'm not due in London until July 12th. I'm very glad that wasn't planned for this week.

I'm glad to see most of my London LJ friends are safe. There's a checking-in community, [livejournal.com profile] london_070705.

Thanks for the link. *hug* I was going on Eurostar tomorrow. Guess not anymore. The number of near misses on my flist alone is making me shake.

My girlfriend was going to Paris, and while i was 99% sure it was flying and not Eurostar, the 1% was making me shake. I know what you mean and I'm glad you're safe.

Just heard about this on my way to work today—right before I got on the Metro, disturbingly enough. My first thought was “I need to check all the British LJs on my friends’ list as soon as I get in, rules be damned.” I’m glad you weren’t there.

Most people are fine. Douglas and Flick checked in - they were my first thought - none of the residents were down south, thank god, and Hannah had made it to Paris by yesterday. Am-Chau is a bit too far north to be affected.

*shudders* This is horrible.

I don't think any of my friends have been caught in it.

I have one client (http://www.icnarc.org/) and one fellow-contractor (http://www.thefinalstep.co.uk/) with offices immediately alongside the exploding bus ... and lots of friends who work within a couple of hundred yards. We have no contact with the client, and we assume they've been evacuated. Our contact at the contractor is at home today.

Thanks for thinking of us.

Thank you for posting this. I didn't catch the news today and I didn't know.
It's horrible.
It looks like all of my London LJ friends are safe too, though.

It is horrible. I guess some people in the western US and Canada are still waking up to it. I'm glad everyone is safe.
