Dear... all of you,

You don't need self-determination. Really, you don't. You didn't have to leave, and you didn't have to set up your own government. All that "hold these truths to be self-evident" stuff*, much overrated. And listening to Montesquieu is just silly. To start with, nobody can spell "Montesquieu", and if you hadn't listened to him, then you wouldn't need to, hmmm?

Furthermore, Congress is much too complicated, federalism involves too many access points, and Political Action Committees are a needless addition to the universe as a whole.** In fact, you'd all be much better off with a constitutional monarchy, an uncodified constitution and a political system that differs not the slightest from a representative European democracy.

I say this with love.

With regards,

~Raven

Ummmm.... *blink, blink, blink* I disagree.

But... it's not really federalism anymore, anyway. It's more, "whatever catches Dubyah's fancy at the moment"/"lets pander to the religious right" type thing. ^_~/X_x

I kind of miss when they weren't trying to fuck up the constitution. *le sigh*

Heh. Yes, this post is my revision-addled attempt to be ironic; the only point I am attempting to make is that if the Americans had never got independence from Britain, my A2 Politics syllabus would be three fifths the size. Today has been spent revising all of the above, and I am somewhat inclined to be facetious. Don't mind me.

I'm sure that in future, we'll all try to be considerate and temper our rebellious tendencies so your exams will stay concise. *grin*

*and sends good-luck vibes*

*hugs* I'm sorry your syllabus is so long. Silly, silly founding fathers. ^_~

Good luck with your revision.
