raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (Default)
[personal profile] raven
Just noticed I'd posted the masterlist in 2006. I think I'll chalk it down to ficathon-induced stress. That said, it does give me an attack of the warm fuzzies to see nearly every entry on my friends page mentioning it, reccing it or posting fic to it. I added it to [livejournal.com profile] purplerainbow's Great Procrastination List of 2005, because, really, forty-five brand-spanking-new fics in a fandom that's only two months old. Who needs to revise, really?

Talking of which, the sum total for today's revision can be seen at the bottom of this post. I totally suck when it comes to, y'know, motivation. And following on from that, I should dispatch my own ficathon story, which is for [livejournal.com profile] taraljc. Instead, I have spent today sitting watching the stories roll in and idly compiling a list of Things What I Have Learnt whilst running this little enterprise. And also wondering about buying a permanent account while knowing I wouldn't - even if I'd bought one the day I created this account, it still wouldn't have paid for itself yet. That said, I like the LJ PTB at present simply because of the funky new styles. I switched to one of the new layouts, using a default colour scheme, and even though it's so simple it looks so, so sexy that I can't stop looking at it.

Anyway! I'm going to Colleen's tomorrow. I'm only managing it because my parents will be out all day, and I mean to leave after they leave and come back before they come back. Pedar's in Vienna, luckily; I only have to avoid my mother coming and going which shouldn't be too difficult if I time it right. I'm taking my Politics file, for the look of the thing, as well as Logopolis, City of Death and a bag of jellybabies.

And because this is a post of random bits, I have just acquired an iTrip. It is the coolest thing ever. I mean it. I still need to name my iPod.

[In 1972, three quarters of American states used a primary to select presidential candidates for November, thanks to the McGovern-Fraser reforms. These reforms are quite distinct from the mid-seventies election finance reforms, which are the McCain-Feingold reforms.]
