Fandom stuff

Fandom bits and bobs, really. I'm writing a fic set in early season four of Buffy - it's been malingering on my hard drive for months, and now garnettrees wants Spander and it's launched itself back into life - and need to know some canon details. Specifically, when did Willow and Tara become a couple? Was it during New Moon Rising, or not? I've always had the vague impression that they got together at some point after Hush, and New Moon Rising was when Willow actually had to face the concept and tell the Scoobies, because by then they're acting very couply - holding hands as they discuss getting Miss Kitty Fantastico, for example.

Next question - which episode Buffy season four roughly corresponds timeline-wise with the Angel episode Hero? I'm thinking either Something Blue or Hush. Anyone care to correct me?

And thirdly, I'd like it if someone who's seen season five of Angel told me, without spoiling me too much, what we know canonically about what happened to the Scoobies after Chosen. This isn't for the above-mentioned fic, just something I've wanted to know for further reference.

In other news, I've updated Sleeping With Ghosts - again! - with two fics, Rest At Last (Giles and Buffy at Christmas) and Morningstar (sort of kind of Tara/Doyle).

Don't know question 2. I don't know question 3 either except for what I've read in fanfic but I don't know if that's true or if one writer invented it and the rest copied. Have you seen Chosen?

The thing is, the way Willow acts all the way through NMR is how she would act if she were already with Tara. I mean, if they weren't together, why does she feel she's letting Tara down if she picks Oz? I kinda figured they were together before, and the candle bit is where they... well, you know.

Being as I am two episodes short of seeing NMR, and having been watching the Tara/Willow very closely ever since I started the show with "Hush," I actually have some standing to speak on this-- I haven't seen anything that indicates to me, at least explicitly, that they're actually together. Although there was a line like "I am yours" in "Who Are You?", wasn't there?

So, the general consensus is that they're not together by this point. I suppose NMR can be interpreted in more than one way.

Post-Chosen, the gang settles down in Europe somewhere and start gathering the slayers who have been called. This episode recap (http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com/story.cgi?show=10&story=6125&limit=&sort=) should have the important details -- Andrew comes to collect a slayer Angel found, and he fills them in on the Scoobies' whole operation.

I'm sure other details are scattered around season 5, but it's mostly condensed into that episode, which I found fascinating mostly for that reason.
