raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (ripper)

shift key is broken. i have not lost the ability to capitalise.

for the record, i'm in a net cafe in delhi. have played incredible amount of cricket. there are pictures which i would upload but this computer won't let me. is annoying. as are many things, including my new inability to type. reminds me vaguely of the time the o key dropped off the laptop. talking off the laptop, making it accept the local power supply requires invocation of deities and no-one so much as breathing. so far we have got it charged twenty percent.

we is me and my boys. there are four of them and they are terribly gentlemanly, bringing me drinks and chairs to sit in and not minding that i'm so bad at cricket. at least it isn't hot. was hotter in dubai, which would have pleased dick whittington were he still looking for streets paved with gold. it's a monument to opulence.

flight wasn't bad but worst landing ever in lifetime of bad landings. am not nervous flier - quite the opposite - but for first time ever was quite sure was going to die. crash. bang. wallop. me, dead. made perfect sense at the time, and then we didn't crash and i was impressed.

last night there was joint birthday/anniversary/hail-arrival-of-distant-relatives party. was very tired and so do not really remember, but there are pictures. have horrible feeling this is going to be prevalent theme. thing, ie thingy-thing-thing-ceremony-ultra-religious-whatsit that is reason we are all here is tomorrow. sunny says he does not know what he feels about it (i would be frankly terrified and ooh, look, shift key bouncing back) but is not overwhelmed or underwhelmed but just whelmed.

talking of terror, went to connaught place in autorickshaw today. best fun ever because can repress idea that roads are entirely lawless and am going to die. lots of fun. i sit in the middle while the boys do an excellent job of chaperoning me. think will get fed of chaperoning lark very quickly, despite is mostly proverbial eleven-year-old boy.

really wish could upload pics of boys and me. am sure i mentioned they are so cute, but will say it again. they are so cute. they are going to see a film tonight, but i don't want to go. eeek.

will read instead. am reading making history by stephen fry, and loving it to death. is wonderful and funny and clever and so slashy and wonderful again.

next entry will be clearer. wish you were here.

Aww you sound like you're having fun! It's pouring with rain here so you're lucky!
Why exactly is the shift key not working? And I'm assuming that not being able to use the letter "O" wasn't very fun lol.
And you sound a bit......dont know if hyper is the right word but not exactly as coherent as you normally are lol, I'm always very impressed when the plane lands without me dying, thank god you not a scared to death flyer like me, I tend to scream when we hit turbulEnce-
"WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!"

I always enjoy hearing about your trips to India. It's a place I wish I could visit but I will probably never get to do so.

Have a good holiday!

Your travelogues are *fab* - I always love reading them! Have fun! I envy you the daylight, if not the dodgy means of transportation!
