Not often I say this, but yay for UCAS. They've finally sent me an acknowledgement of my form. Only this morning I was idly contemplating how many ways I would kill the office staff if they'd made me miss the deadline, but mutilations is happily not required. I have my password to track the application online, and I also got an email from Bristol to say they'd got it. I'm all organsised. Now all I have to do is wait for offers to arrive. Um, yeah.
In other news, I have a new phone. I'll post a poll asking for numbers later, once it's charged. I have the same SIM card, so the number is still the same - it's just since the death of the other phone, all my contacts are gone. This sounds all good on the technology front, so I suppose in a balancing act, my mp3 player seems permanently dead. This depresses me beyond reason. I rang up Sony, who are sublimely useless. Their service centre has closed, and with it have gone all their records of my existence. No hope, it seems. Waaah.
And to finish, the poetry meme:
All-Purpose Poem For State Occasions
by Wendy Cope
The nation rejoices or mourns
As this happy or sombre day dawns.
Our eyes will be wet
As we sit by the set,
Neglecting our flowerbeds and lawns.
As Her Majesty rides past the crowd
They'll be silent or cheer very loud
But whatever they do
It's undoubtedly true
That they'll feel patriotic and proud.
In Dundee and Penzance and Ealing
We're imbued with appropriate feeling:
We're British and loyal
And love every royal
And tonight we shall drink till we're reeling.

According to the UCAS site, my application was processed by them on the 5th of October. I'm yet to receive a single offer, *wibble* I don't think anyone wants me.
