AS results

Okay. Went in this morning, took deep breaths. Here goes.

Biology - A
Chemistry - A
English language/lit - A
Politics - A

I did it. And that General Studies module I resat - also A. I'm honestly happy. I wasn't happy with my GCSEs. I am happy with these.

The Biology modules were a bit odd (86/90, 76/90, 99/120) as I seem to have gone a bit doolally, as Hannah puts it, during Genes and Genetic Engineering. The Chemistry ones are fine (117/120, 82/90, 81/91) and so are the English (105/105, 95/105, 78/90) except for the last one - I don't know what happened with my coursework. Politics is is fine, too - 94/100, 100/100 and 100/100.

I spent the rest of the afternoon with shipperkitten and purplerainbow. We celebrated and commiserated, but I think we only met this afternoon so we could be quiet and not say much together and not alone. I also got red hair extensions put in my hair, because I wanted to. They're subtle, at least as subtle as anything that's bright red can be.

Pedar's not going to be home until late tonight, but when I got home he'd sent flowers. They're red, of course.

Oh, well done! And dammit, your first English mark is better than mine, though the other two balance us out to about equal. (Was that first one the retaken anthology module? Because retakes are cheating. In my world.)

That first one was the anthology one, yes, but no resits. I was taking all of these for the first time. :)

Oh, well done, then. And it's a great shame that everyone who looks at my R.S. mark keeps saying "never mind, there are resits," because, dammit, I don't want to do a [bleep] resit.

Today I discovered it was the philosophy paper I really, really, deeply fluffed, too.

Yes, I'm a little upset. And I have to go away to [bleep] Cumbria, too. And see [bleep] Lancaster, and try and want to go to Nottingham... I'm tired of this. Right now, I hate the whole system.

Sorry. I'll stop being miserable in your journal now.

Have fun in--Wales, is it? Biology field trip, if I recall correctly. There's lots of biological stuff in that part of the world, so it sounds likely to me.

Ah, and if only this was it. I have another few modules in January, and a really huge amount (we're talking about fifteen, sixteen) in May. They build on these ones, though, so it's all uber important.
