raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (moonlight [ceirdwyn])

Hannah was right about civilisation being a few hours' sleep away from savagery, or something like that. I have spent thirty of the last forty-eight hours asleep. I'm still tired. Amazing, I know.

Even more amazing, I have finished the sleep-deprivation fic, and I really need a beta. [livejournal.com profile] amchau offered way back when, and I've taken her up on it, but I'd love a second opinion.

And now I'm going back to bed.

The world looks very strange without sleep, doesn't it? I hope you get caught up soon!

And now I'm going back to bed.
Captial idea. Sweet dreams. ^_^

What fandom, and how long a fic is it? My figurative beta-doors are always open to you, but if it's really long, I might not be able to do it. Crunch time.

It's Harry Potter, about 7700 words, 16 pages. (I have it open on my desktop right now. And I, for one, am enjoying it.)

I'll give it a go. Length isn't a problem, because time is meaningless at the moment!

Am-Chau, bless the girl, is on crack. It is sixteen pages and 7700 words, but not Harry Potter. It's technically Buffyverse, but the time and place setting mean most of the characters and all the places are original. I'd love your input as I always do, but if you want to run away very fast, I couldn't possibly hold it against you.

Off to go and have a word with Am-Chau...

It's Harry Potter? Really? What did I miss? :)

Twelve hours later, I'm getting there! Heh.

You're right when you say I'm on crack. (It's debateable whether that helps or hinders in betaing sleep-dep fic.)

Hmm. Would you mind if I passed on this one? I don't know thing one about Buffy, and my Internet access is unexpectedly spotty. (It figures that this would happen THE WEEK BEFORE I leave home.) I'll make it up to you next time.

Hey, that's cool. I wouldn't want to do it, either. How's your internet access going to be once you actually do leave home?

Hard to tell. I'm not clear on any of it. My laptop arrived earlier this week, and hopefully I'll get access on it before I leave. If not, I may be completely bereft for a little while once I get to Ohio, because I'll have to wait until they do the obligatory explain-the-computer-system-to-the-newbies schtick.

Yay for laptop, but ack for the rest of it. You do realise that a lack of regular contact with you will render my life without meaning?

Aww. I'm flattered -- and likewise, of course. I can't imagine I'll be without it that long. After all, these people must know how much college students need their Internet fix, right?

Also: good luck on your results tomorrow! I just realized that the IB process is practically synchronized with yours on this count, because I just received my IB scores this afternoon. Of course, they were released online last month, but still. I like the convergence, or something.

I know exactly how you feel, and trust me, you did better than you think. Remember to breathe. And scream all you like when you find out.

I'm breathing. I'm breathing. It's twenty-five minutes to eleven. I'm still breathing...
