Making tea

Urgh. It's been raining now for three solid days, some drizzle, some steady downpour and some torrential, ankle-deep flooding. The occasional lightning means the internet has gone again, but strangely enough I don't really mind. I had access for about five minutes last night - long enough to post my [livejournal.com profile] remus_remix fic, which is good as it keeps me from being poked by a pointy stick or whatever the penalty was.

I'm keeping my windows open at home because it's so quiet. The kids are gone, and I can sit in bed and hear the rain. Which is good, because I probably would have killed someone at some point, but I do miss the noise they made. They left early on Sunday morning, and I did go to the airport but can barely remember it, because I was sleep-deprived at the time. They reached safely if with some reluctance. I'm glad they enjoyed themselves.

And I am now embroiled in more work experience, much less fun work experience this time. In the Spinal Injuries Unit in Southport, to be precise, and it's so boring I can't tell you. There's never anything to do except make tea.

I'm bored.

Traditionally, making the tea is the task which should await you in your first work experience placement.

Quite possible. Clearly I have no other uses.

You could always write it up and send it to your previous appointment.
