Last time I was out with the resident lunatics, I said, I said that David Thewlis had been in a film where he played a gay French poet and there was much snogging and nudity, I did say, and did anyone believe me? No!
And yet, I am vindicated. Not a work-safe link, by the way, but still. Huh.
In other news, I am still feeling free as a bird and slightly less tired than I was last night. Probably the best night's sleep I've ever had in my life. Sad but true. Sleep is so much underrated.
So, I have spent the morning so far doing all things I've wanted to do for a while.
glitter_remus is awake again, having been more or less dormant for a month, and in a stroke of irony, he's bitching about his OWLs.
Also, emails have been dispatched to most of the people to whom I owed them. Life is good.
And - the M*A*S*H Slash awards are over! With a great deal of work from
gamesiplay, the winners have been posted on the website, so yay. Congratulations to all. I've won one or two. Have yet to look at them in detail.
That's everything. Unless anyone wants to do anything today, I'm restless and keen to get out of the house.

on 2004-06-11 09:15 am (UTC)my eyes!! I was not expecting that. & apart from it adding to the child molesting moustache image by looking vaguely peodophillic with DiCaprio, I'm impressed. I perhaps maybe want to see this film, but then again, I may not.

on 2004-06-11 07:29 pm (UTC)I'm sorry I didn't announce the awards earlier today as well; I haven't had five straight minutes of free time until now. But yay! again, and congrats to everyone (you included, because you deserved all you got).

on 2004-06-12 09:45 am (UTC)And congratulations to you too! If you hadn't won best Hawkeye, I would have worried about the state of the universe as we know it.

on 2004-06-12 09:59 am (UTC)Sign #425 I need to spend more time alone: I discuss French symbolist poets in Netspeak.
But yeah. I'm not terribly fond of either one as a writer, because I'm a plebe, but it's real RPS, and I like to be up on that sort of thing.
I'm worried about the state of universe because I did win it. I don't understand Hawkeye! Too much pressure! (Although best Klinger was weirdest. WHOA.) But I am so thrilled about all of the awards you took; and the entire Outstanding Author category makes me grin from ear to ear. You guys are spectacular.

on 2004-06-12 10:14 am (UTC)I think there's something rather post-modernist and ironic about discussing French symbolist poets in Netspeak. I only wish I could actually speak French. And actual RPS is just a Very Good Thing.
No-one understands Hawkeye! Hawkeye doesn't understand Hawkeye! You won fair and square. And, hey: I won best Trapper. Can I lead the audience in a resounding, "Huh?"
And the Outstanding Author category makes me blush. And giggle. A lot.
I so need a M*A*S*H icon.
