So, what have I done on my first free afternoon in months?

I've made a recs page!

Sad, but true. I'd been meaning to do it for a while, what with my getting back into Stargate fandom and the way PoA has brought with it a resurgence of puppylove, and it just seemed a fun thing to do. Accordingly, Sleeping With Ghosts fic recommendations. (HP, Good Omens, Stargate and M*A*S*H).

I've recced stories by daegaer, lilka, louiselux, musesfool, casira, language_idling, mieko_belle, gamesiplay, amchau, garnettrees, danvers and minkboylove, plus a host of others who are not on LJ.

You know the scary moustache of Remus'? I have discovered what must be done about it. (No, really. I fell asleep over The Beginnings and Development of Hinduism, and dreamed this.)

Hawkeye must shave half of it off.

Oh, yes-- "Augustine's theodicy is in fact nonsense, and would have been much improved had half his moustache been shaved off." If I write that on my paper, I blame you.

What really annoys me about the Beginnings and Development of Hinduism module is that it's been designed by people who think you can look at the excuvated bath/tank in Mohenjo-Daro and correctly assume that the entire Harrappan culture (M-D being a Harrappan-culture site) was obssessed with purity, and that they had social constructs of purity similar to those in modern Hinduism. The pure archaeologist in me burns with fury like unto that of a really-pissed off archaeologist.
