So, there's me, happily bouncing round 'cause Special Needs is on, and suddenly and with an audible crack, my right ankle decided to self-destruct. I was going to say, have you ever had that familiar sinking feeling where you know that in a fraction of a second you're going to hit a hard stone floor with a force equivalent to your entire bodyweight over a very small area, and having done that, you're going to lie there in bone-deep pain while every single one of the small bones in your foot collides with the next one along, and for the next ten minutes, you're just going to resemble a crumpled heap of organic matter feeling incredibly dizzy and that your head is shortly about to go through the floor.
I was going to say that.
But I won't, as it's clear that this sort of thing happens to no-one but me.
Urrrgh.

on 2004-04-13 07:59 am (UTC)That is a horrible and painful sensation. I know it well. I can't express it so well, though, I tend to just say "OW! FUCK!" as a rule.
Yours sounds far nastier though. *passes icepack*
