amchau. She has now been watching Stargate for all of three days, and has spent much of those three days trying to convince me of the validity of Jack/Thor. I would like to state for the record that I find this profoundly disturbing and have not, at any point, considered any reasons why it might be thought plausible nor reasons why innate asexuality is not necessarily a barrier in a relationship.
All of that said,amchau has her reasons to be less than well-disposed to me, and is probably readying instruments of torture even as we speak.
In other news, there isn't much other news and I'm glad of it. I went out with Patrick on Friday, having spend most of the morning in conversation withshipperkitten. We didn't do very much. I feel like I'm a bitch of a girlfriend most of the time, but don't really know what to do about it. Anyway. Today has been vaguely less interesting than yesterday was, as my mother decided that what we really need, really need, are, and I quote, "a dressing table stool and a plasticky thing to put in the bath."
So off we went. And somehow or other ended up at Homebase. Well, I hung around the tills for a while before I spottedhathy_col, and we had a brief conversation while I tried to impersonate a paying customer, and eventually ended up being sent in search of the aforementioned plasticky thing to put in the bath, which we never found.
My life is so interesting. In any case, life is actually treating me well at present. Half the resident lunatics are on D of E in the wilds of Wales, I believe, or some such (muddy) place, but Becca called this afternoon asking whether I wanted to go to the cinema on Monday. We're going to see Starsky and Hutch, which should be fun. Now I have to somehow get through a day of waitressing tomorrow, and things are (fingers crossed) going okay.
