I'm updating by email, so ignore any screwy formatting. I'll most likely fix it later. I'm not having a good day. It didn't start well, as I forgot both my boots and a muffin I'd set out on the kitchen island to take with me, and while Pedar obligingly stopped while I ran barefoot to get everything I needed, it was still aggravating. Nichola was in the common room when I arrived, fixing the vending machine which now refuses to be fixed. She reminded me not to go the library committee meeting, so I went to assembly instead, which I did not enjoy. Mrs Mills was doing the notices and talking about pornographic material for some reason. Apparently the school is now aware when emails are sent with particular "combinations of words" in then, as well as "pornographic images." She then went on to talk about two emails that had already been intercepted - one containing an image, and another from a girl "discussing her love-life in graphic detail." Cue laughter; but she was not amused.

I was. Amused, that is. This school's firewalls are getting steadily more and more totalitarian and I don't think emails should be read. In fact, there was a petition some years ago trying to get it stopped, but it never was. I am now sorely tempted to cut and paste some of my writing into an email and send it by way of the school's servers, just to see if it gets picked up. I've got an untitled WIP at the moment that's getting closer to NC-17 than any of my fics have before; lots of angsty co-dependent abusive gay sex and use of the word "fuck" at every possible opportunity. Not gratutious, though; it's a Sirius/Remus fic, and as I do set my fics at an earlier time period than the canon, I think they would say "fuck" a lot.

In any case, it needs work. Perhaps when I have more time, as what I definitely don't have is time at the moment. This morning, I realised I could kill two birds with one stone in boring Politics lessons with Miss Hathaway. I ended up being really sad and pathetic and doing my Chemistry. Electrophilic addition, yay; and I'm not being sarcastic, I actually do find it very interesting. Similarly with moral and ethical considerations of the Biology. The debate we were going to have wasn't today after all; I got mixed up and it's actually on Friday. Even so, today's lesson was interesting and featured lots of sponataneous debate. I didn't for once get into a fight with Fidan. Maybe on Friday.

I'm sitting in the computer room at the moment without much to do. Miss Gow is delivering a lesson on Roman funeral customs. Thankfully I am now in the process of being kidnapped.

My mum works in a school with a very strict email filters, which apply to staff as well as students. My brother had sent her an email ending with the line "Better get back to work, then. Bugger." It got into the school system, but when she tried to Reply and send it she got a nasty message saying that this email was forbidden due to its offensive language and that a network administrator would be contacting her shortly and her email privileges might well be removed. Hee!

Apparently, she was horribly upset about this and ran up the corridor to apologise to the network administrator and explained anxiously that it wasn't her swearing, it was her son, and she was terribly sorry that she hadn't brought him up properly!

I never e-mail from school for a reason. (Though actually, while the school e-mail filters are bed, I've also forgotten my school network password, so it's not an option any more. Thank heavens for a half timetable.)

I want to see that Sirus/Remus story, you know. And if you didn't before, you do now.

Now surely, due to mentioning 'gay sex' in your entry, & that you are sending it via, presumably the schools email, this would get caught up?
But then, I'd like to see them trace it, because, I am assuming that you are still using my account & I would find it amusing if they tried to cancel my account when I no longer go to the school.

That is good. Because I was going to ask you to beta it. :)

*laughs* I was already smiling at this story, but the bit about her not having brought him up properly has really made me giggle. Good to know that I'm not the only one with totalitarian network admistration.

My love, that was the point. Hopefully, theywill pick it up; then realise whose account it is and scratch their heads a lot. If they do eventually trace me, I can giggle and deny all knowledge. The address is "silcf@mtgs.co.uk" - send me porn!

hurrah, I shall.
But then, does that not mean that you won't be able to get access to the computers as you won't have an account any more?
