Well, not really. But, someone responded to my flyers! A woman in Formby with a fourteen-year-old daughter, in search of maths tuition! I was very excited. The family is off on holiday somewhere next week, so the week after, I get to meet Kate, who needs help with basic concepts. I need to find out something about Upper Four level maths this week. I did it myself, it can't be too hard...
In other news, the Raven Doing Work thing is continuing apace. I actually did work I didn't have to do tonight, if that makes sense. It occurred to me that I only have to do it for five weeks before circumstances change. The one thing that is not so cool about the plan is it puts my two lives in distressingly diametric opposition. Do I: a) work? Or b) watch Stargate? It's a difficult choice. In the end I've decided the answer should be a) unless the episode itself is distinctive for any reason, and "distinctive" episodes should not occur more than once a week. Next week's is Wormhole X-treme, of course. I love Sky.
And while I'm at it, Pedar is watching 24 in the kitchen and something just dawned on me. All this time, I've been wondering why the terrorist guy ("...or we shall release the virus") sounds familiar, and now I know. It's his voice. It's harsh and guttural and almost unnatural, and sounds positively Goa'uldish to me. Huh.
Will do the "first kiss" meme later. Now for some general doing-nothing-ness.
