raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (death)

Not much of an update. Nothing has happened today, but tomorrow I am ridiculously busy and I have to bloody cook because of bloody Cooking On a Budget. And there are auditions at lunch and I need to go to Alexander's and get a sandwich in the morning for myself and pick up twenty-five packed lunches from the kitchens while getting ready for cooking, which I do not want to do, and reassuring the little darlings that yes, we do have a script on the way and can audition them, and I have to write and type said script, all twenty-five pages and get it duplicated thirty-five times and aaaaaargh!

However, in other news, a small personals advertisement:

Moody, introspective corvid and multi-fandom Buffista, WLTM beta, in LiveJournal area, for fun and frolics with spelling, grammar and characterisation. Must be familiar with Harry Potter and Discworld, and unafraid of wildmild mpreg. Comment now for a lifetime of good fic and feedback.

I'm insane, but you wouldn't believe how much this fic intrigues me. I'll beta. I am, after all, The Worlds Fastest Beta, and I'm fairly good at picking up spelling, grammar, and characterisation is My Thing. Besides, I'm a fairly big Discworld and Harry Potter geek too.

(And I like mpreg...)

So, yeah. I'll give it a spin. How long do you give me to do it and how long? I could, in all seriousness, have it finished by Saturday if it's modium sized and Sunday if it's uberbig...

It's around 40K and will be slightly longer when Raven's written the epilogue. Somewhat over 100 pages, neatly divided into chapters.

(Raven, hope you don't mind me answering these comments. I just want to get back to people as soon as possible.)

My darling, if you really dare to step where angels fear to tread, then who am I to stop you, indeed?

I will confer with Crazy Co-Writer shortly and get back to you...

100 pages? May take me slightly longer due to work that has to be done. *kicks James I* However, if you're still looking for a beta, I'll do it.

(And I can't believe I wrote modium. I'm such a crap typer.)

Am very willing to help if the following is not a problem:

1. Have read Harry Potter but not latest installment.

2. Am only vaguely familiar with Discworld, but know Rincewind, Death, etc.

3. Haven't the foggiest idea what mpreg means.

But other than that I am available.

Oh, but am unavailable for anything other than sleep for the coming week.

I think I'll just stop and go away now.

It's massively futurefic, so that may not be a problem... how worried are you about being spoiled?

3. Haven't the foggiest idea what mpreg means.

Male pregnancy. As in, unnatural, wrong, inexplicable, and damn funny to boot.

It's also-- which perhaps we should have put in the warning-- something over 40,000 words long.

(And perhaps I should introduce myself. Hi! I'm Raven's crazy co-writer. Nice to meet you.)

Am-Chau's already replied but what the hell. Mpreg is disturbing and totally not my fault. *points accusing finger* It's her! It's all her!

You're not in Anglesey yet, are you? You've been quiet...

...I am ridiculously busy and I have to bloody cook because of bloody Cooking On a Budget.

Cooking class, grade eight, starring Mrs. Florence Potts (hehe): How to Measure Shortening. How to Make Revolting Vegetarian Pizza that Guarantees Food Poisoning to All Brave Enough to Taste It. How To Fill A Measuring Cup with Tap Water (Meredith fails). BDSM 101 in the corner, featuring a Rubber Spatula and one's very own Slave Boy. Cooking on the Government's Miniscule Budget. You have it so good, my friend.

*laughs* My school does not rely on the government's budget, and stuff is still crap.

I want my very own Slave Boy...
