on 2004-01-02 10:19 am (UTC)It takes so long though. *yawns* & I really show myself up with my inability to spell correctly. Sigh. :p

on 2004-01-02 11:39 am (UTC)Since revision is evil, but essays about James I are even worse, I'm going to do a long and verbose comment. Aren't you glad?
which is nobody because nobody is interested in the liberal democrat party & that {ex/in (?)}cludes the Liberal Democrats.
You'd fit into my politics class so well. We did a vote over the classes political allegiance. We had 2 Tories (who have been ignored, and duly so) 2 abstainees, 9 Labour (yay me!) and 6 Lib Dems. It gets violent at times.
But, it's not important to anybody except me because my exam is in six days & it's only just dawned on me that I am going to fail, spectacularly, magnificently... in more ways than one.
You are not. Says me. You are going to get an A in politics. (And be glad to do module exams. Really. I have a three hour exam waiting for me in June. The joy.)
I will go away & go back to {third party post (?)} & proportional representation
Oh, you poor thing. Is third party post First Past The Post? (I'm guessing transcribe problems) I hate electoral systems. I have a personal resentment of Single Transferable Vote. I can't do the maths, and it all gets confusing in my head. Give me a good argument about the electorate any day.
Call me a sad English geek ('cause I AM) but it's absolutely fascinating to compare your phone posts to actual posts. They're so different. You use so much spoken English. Lookit at your conjunctions! And the differences in sentence structure!
... yeah, I need a hobby. And I need to do my history coursework. But I don't want to.

Hey, now. That's just passive-aggressive. :P

on 2004-01-02 12:50 pm (UTC)The module is terrifying me. Talking of STV (I can't do the maths either), I was trying to do the AS question, "Why did Jenkins reject STV?" and I could have cried. I hope I've actually learnt something by next Thursday. Eek. Or, ook. Yes. Life is easier if you're an orangutan.
And lastly, you realise I am now going to go through my post, looking for conjunctions and examples of spoken English and wail a bit that I'm not doing English Language? You're not the only English geek, but never forget the geeks shall inherit the earth.
