Tony called. I didn't get the job.

Let's see... I love books, have been coming into the shop for years, I've worked there before, was told beforehand that I'd automatically get this job, and of all people, Becca has the corresponding job in Crosby.

Yet more proof I am unemployable.

so they told you that the job was practivally yours, and then you didn't get it? That's not very polite...

(((hugs))))

D00d, NO ONE is unemployable. Really.

If you're 22 and flat broke and haven't worked a normal job for three years and have no experience in anything, apparently you're not unemployable- therefore, hon, I REALLY don't think you are....

((((more hugs, because I do know where you're comign from, but.)))

If I had a bookshop, I would hire you.

I have a heck of a time getting jobs myself, and I like to think I'm very employable and pleasant. Perhaps employers are just blind/whatever.

I don't think you're unemployable; I do think that the job market is rather competitive right now and that perhaps ---and wrongly so --- potential employers are looking at age and (hopefully) pairing it with commitment to the job and wisdom.

Keep trying. You'll find something that suits you.
