ravenI have several unrelated things to point out.
Firstly, I don't believe I mentioned my latest contribution to our local slashers' coven's insanity. I am not going to SG6. I would like to, but it's been a year and more since I formally left Stargate fandom, and I haven't even seen season five properly, let alone six and seven, so I wouldn't really fit in, and besides I'm skint. hathy_col, and in my darker moments I'm tempted, but no. purplerainbow and I have Plans for the con weekend. But, I'm still helping out with costumes. The themes this year are... what? Hallowe'en, and 1969. I felt rather aggravated, because I love 1969. One of my absolute favourite episodes. I can still quote the bloody dialogue:
"My name is not Kirk. It's Skywalker. Luke Skywalker."
"We come from a galaxy far, far away..."
"Far out!"
"When there's a will, there's an or. Way!"
"I'll pay you back. With interest."
"I speak twenty-three languages. Pick one!"
"Daniel! I didn't recognise you with hair!"
Clare's Hallowe'en costume is my idea. Death. The Discoworld one. YES, HIM. I want to get her a scythe and black cowl and make her practise TALKING LIKE THIS. And then getshipperkitten to take pictures. She wanted to know what she should do for the next night. I said put flowers in her hair and go as a hippie Death. And definitely take pictures.
They are going hippie-clothes-shopping on Saturday and probably coming up here afterwards. If they've got any shopping bags, I'm having a nose through.
Secondly, I've been playing around burning CDs. It's fun. I've never done it before. Even though my mp3 player is working again, which is a good thing. I may stick some of them in the post and send them to various people. Anyone want one? Actually, don't answer that.
Thirdly, my grandmother wants to do a puja on Saturday (before the hordes descend). It's a specific one involving unmarried girls. I've decided to just keep my mouth shut and go along with it.

And it was MY idea to go as death, although it was inspired by the discworld discussion you started, so I suppose it was a joint effort, but still, you can't take all the credit for it.
And I can post comments, so I'm vewry happy, and to be perfectly honest I couldn't care less who's idea it was because I can post and read comments, and in a minute I may even attempt an LJ cut.
