Becca, Clare - I'm so sorry I didn't talk to you earlier, I forgot to sign out of MSN before we went to the temple.

And yes, the temple. It was pretty much as I expected. It's a converted church in Edge Lane, which I'm sure is symbolic of something although I don't know what, and it's full of people whom I don't know singing and making a lot of noise. I was hungry. I didn't start feeling hungry until about six, but from then on, it just went downhill. No, I didn't succumb. I just got cranky, and unhappy, and snapped at everyone, and it got worse as I started thinking about tomorrow.

It was boring, though. I walked out midway, bored out of my mind, and Pedar came to get me, but ended up staying with me. We sat outside for two hours, just talking, before going back in for the actual midnight Janmastami bit. It's Lord Krishna's birthday. It changes every year, and there is lots of prasad. That is all I have to say about it. We got home at about one, ate some prasad, and I will go to bed momentarily. Right at this moment, I feel... well, bad. Scared and nervous and just fuckshitarse.

Good luck, everyone. Not that you need it. I just feel remarkably twitchy at this moment in time.

[as to the church thing, doesn't surprise me. I think our local church only has the one pernament priest at the moment... mum reckons I converted the priest who visited us away from christianity by accident. Partially because I got him to admit the old testament was mostly rubbish, but mostly because the first question he asked the next confessor was "Have you committed adultery?". Said confessor was my sister's best mate's happily married dad. He was unimpressed.]
