Making Moony laugh

I have finally finished writing and typing up my Fest entry. It's much, much longer than I thought it would be, and also weirder, much weirder. The challenge was "attempted suicide" and much as I have played with that idea in the past, in all kinds of fandoms, it proved to be much more difficult than I thought it would be. However, it's written, is five thousand words long, and much as I would like to post it here, the usual don't-post-anywhere-else Fest rules apply. I know a friends-only entry would suffice, but at least one person involved in the Fest proceedings is on my friends list, and I cannot be bothered to make a custom group, so nevermind. It's not like anyone will be horrifically disappointed.

I haven't really done anything today worth writing about, but I don't mind that. I feel so comfortable at home. I hope the feeling lasts; it's an added benefit of having been somewhere. I've been listening to a lot of old(er) stuff on my computer's playlist - mostly Savage Garden and Oasis, because that was what was at the party yesterday. There's something about To the Moon and Back - everyone seems to know all the words, myself included, and it always reminds me of Becca's birthday, for obvious reasons.

I ought to tell my parents that Becca and Emma are coming here tomorrow, but I have a distinct feeling they're going to cause trouble. My parents, that is! Because of Dadi - they're going to complain that I shouldn't leave her alone, I should be taking better care of her, etc, etc, but they don't understand my main argument - when I am here, I can't keep her company because I can't say a damn word. I just sit and wish I could verbalise. In the end, I retreat into book/fanfic/writing, because I can't cope with an eight-hour-long awkward silence.

I ought to go downstairs now, I guess. Wish me luck.

When will your fic be posted on the site, then? I have only a cursory knowledge of HP, but I think it's enough to understand what's going on -- and I'm always excited about your writing. :)

Ooh, you've made my day with this comment. It's been three weeks since a Fest update, so I figure they ought to update it soon.

The fic is weird. Really, really weird. Entitled "Making Moony laugh" and yeah - weird.
