Bells

Strange to say, I have been ten-pin bowling this morning. One of the many neighbours (her name was Liz) decided to take the many neighbourhood kids with her, and I was roped in to help. I had severe doubts about the whole thing, but surprisingly enough, it was fun. The kids were managable and even likable, and one in particular, named Emily (she did actually look like a younger version of [livejournal.com profile] shipperkitten) was rather sweet.

Since then - nothing much. It's only two in the afternoon, Nupur's at a play rehearsal, and I have a couple of hours to amuse myself. I'm all for this idea. I will probably spend the time on the swing. Ah, the excitement of my life.

In other news, the Iona-makes-no-noise problem is still a problem. Nupur's grandfather, as I have said, is blind, and he's still complaining about my supposed lightfootedness. The latest solution proposed is using payal, the silver anklets I used to wear when I was younger, which were later given to Nupur. The point of this is very simple - they have bells on. This hasn't achieved very much, because every step I take doesn't necessarily shake the bells hard enough to make them ring - more often than not, my feet don't hit the ground with enough force.

Ah, well. I don't mind not being noticed. It doesn't make much difference either way.

I have to cut this short.
