raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (girl in blue)

As I have already told [livejournal.com profile] hathy_col at great length today, I am such a fangirl. But god help me, I can't wait for tonight. I went to the village earlier today - I think I'll go to the bookshop tonight and offer to help out. They'll need all the help they can get, as it sounds like half of Formby's going to be there at midnight. They've got the window decorated with Gryffindor and Slytherin posters. There were people in the shop this morning trying to place orders - nothing doing, it's just about too late. I went to the library as well, and my pierced librarian friend showed me the database - they've ordered thirty-seven copies of the book, but as of this morning they'd receieved sixty-six reservations. My, oh, my. For once, I don't feel so guilty for being a serial obsessive.

I met Verena on the way to the library. She looked surprised to see me, and I don't blame her. She, poor girl, is trying to make herself revise Latin for next week. I can't put into words the amount of sympathy I have for the Latin people, mainly because I should have been one of them myself. I wasn't, of course... but ugh. Placing the exams where they have is just torture on the part of AQA. Isn't that strange... I haven't read, or written, or even thought of the acronym "AQA" for three whole days, and yet it feels like an eternity. That's probably what comes of spending those three days on your own and in another world.

And that, I would think, is all. Pedar's got what he so eloquently terms a "thing" tonight - when he gets back from it, whatever it is, we'll go to the village together.

The *library* have ordered 37 copies?! I'm sure in a few months time they won't need them...

I know Linghams, the bookshop in Heswall, has ordered 600 for the midnight opening and more for Saturday morning, and yesterday they'd already had about 570 reservations for the midnight opening! I'm not going as my sister and her friends are going... meh. Clare is too though.

I remember Linghams... used to be my favourite place in the world. You should go! If only for the atmosphere!

I'm all happy because I get to help tonight! They're letting me in early and everything!
