So...

Something Corporate in Manchester, Sunday, 22nd June, tickets are £10 and for sale on wayahead.com. Who's going? I had it down as myself, [livejournal.com profile] chanandlerbong, [livejournal.com profile] _detroit, [livejournal.com profile] cucharita, [livejournal.com profile] purplerainbow, and possibly [livejournal.com profile] spiderdragon, [livejournal.com profile] shipperkitten and [livejournal.com profile] osiris13.

We need a way to get there, we need a way to get back, we need someone to buy the tickets, and I hereby delegate all responsibility to [livejournal.com profile] cucharita.

Right well. I suggest, everyone who wants to come tell me. Get money to me and I'll get Mother to buy tickets. Or you can buy your own if you wish. It may be easier.
Train there I think. I know how to get to the University from train station I think. Then most likely either train back if it's alright with parents or lifts. May need two cars. My Mother may do a car if I ask ever so nicely. But if we need two, well we'd need someone else's parent willing. But yes. Go on. I'd go.

My parents would not agree without a lift back, methinks. Other than that, I'm all for your plan. I'll make sure everyone comments on this post to say what they want to do.

I want to come, and I can if we have a way to get back. :)

Good. Direct Clare, Lorna and Hannah this way, would you please...

Oh yes, I'm there. As is Lorna, only she's probably swotting at the mo. My mother is quite happy for me to go, only she won't let me go home by public transport. She is quite happy for someone else's parent to pick me up, but won't pick me up herself. (We've had this argument many times) It's all to do with how everyone else (bar Clareyperson) has two parents to pick them up. It's very unfair, but there you are, I just thought I would warn you.

We will need to find a very gullible parent who is willing to pick us up from Manchester at eleven o'clock at night. I can see them thronging the gates as we speak...

Enid's mum is wavering. Whoo for the wavering. I don't dare ask my parents, and besides, I don't think it's fair to ask. Glad you're coming, though!

And I just got confirmation from Clare, too.

Although - *sighs* - so many people may prove a problem, picking up wise. Will have to give it some thought.

"I was chatting to this guy in a bar, when I felt something hard on my thigh. I thought, 'Oh hello.' Then I looked down and thought, 'Oh no.' It was a gun."- Brian Molko

As the advert says, I saw this and thought of you...

Anyway, Something Corporate. Did you speak to Clare? I didn't see her online...
And what's the picking up problem? Most people live near you, so I think what would be best to group up at either your house or someone else from your area (providing they don't mind) because I think most people should be able to get there. Who's going again? Me, you, Em, Clare, Becca, Emma, Lorna, Enid... That's eight, good number. I think we should all be able to get to the house of who ever is doing lifts. What would be good is a car going from your side, and one going from ours, but I don't know if that will work. Still, it should work, as long as we all work together.
I hope everyone gets on together. Oh, this is kinda scary now. It's the weekend after the exams, right? That can be our thing! Yay!

I love that quote! I'm going to have to work it into a layout somehow!

I'm glad you and I have independently reached the same conclusions. Enid thought the exact same thing, as well - her mum has offered to be lift-person from our side. We now need someone from yours!

Em spoke to Clare on my behallf, which is good, and yay, we have a thing!

Oh, if only!

I'd love to go see them with you. I'd love to have no parents along. I'd just love that, full stop.

Damn ocean.

And, incidentally, I am currently engaged in writing a long letter to go in your parcel... almost done!

Right, will speak to Lorna tomorrow, and Clemily, and see if we can't get something arranged. I bet you a lot of money, one car will get lost, and end up phoning the other from a rest stop somewhere in Oxford, or something...

As to layouts, a Placebo layout would be heaven. One of us has to get one, so we can drool on a regular basis.
