raven: [hello my name is] and a silhouette image of a raven (pegasus)
So tired. So damn busy. My friends page is quiet, because people are either doing coursework or at Escapade, while I am in the process of having the busiest weekend ever, starting from last night when I went to this fancy dress party. It was Rola's eighteenth, and I wouldn't have gone if it hadn't been Rola. Anyway, I'm actually glad I went - I went up to the place with Laura, Fidan and Emma (whose costumes were far better than mine - I was just wearing Eeyore ears) but spent the night with Becca, catching up. It was fun, and lots of gossip exchanged hands. About five dozen people asked me where Hannah was, as well - it's the gossip of the moment, clearly - and I really wished she'd come because it would have been of the fun. So many people want to meet her. I did ask Rola at one point if she minded if I brought someone.

"Who?"

"Hannah."

"Who's Hannah?"

"My girlfriend."

"You mean, friend-who-is-a-girl..."

"Uh. No."

She went on to tell me, "Awww. But I don't like the gay thing. Still, awww."

I picked myself up off the floor eventually, but was still laughing about it ten minutes later.

But I digress. I took my camera last night, because of its being Disney-character fancy dress:

Esmerelda, Captain Jack Sparrow, Pinocchio, Cruella De Vil... )
Lastly, [livejournal.com profile] balthaser looking pretty.

Sadly, one of the other pictures I would have posted is blurred. It's of one of the boys' quiz team, dressed as Snow White. He groped me while Emma was trying to make me dance, and it took a few well-placed whacks to get him off me. I always get propositioned when I'm taken, and always by weirdoes. Afterwards I asked Becca, "Do I have some sort of beacon on my head that only crazy people can hear?"

She looked at me and went, "Yeah..."

It was a fun night, all told, and my first time legally buying alcohol. I had ID and everything. Didn't drink much, though, because I had to get up at the crack of dawn to go to work. Ouch. And Pritchard's was far too busy today. I spent the time putting out books and moaning.

Afterwards, I went down to Crosby, having solved the mystery of Whatever Happened To Jane. A broken wireless network card is what happened, and so we spent this afternoon giggling wildly and catching up on a month's worth of news. We always talk about rubbish for hours, and I don't know how we do it. Michael wasn't there, sadly.

Tomorrow I'm going to have lunch with the mini-Scoobies. Where did the social life come from?
