Divide by Cucumber
Sep. 18th, 2003 05:27 pmLong, long day with significant lack of anything interesting in it. I had no breaks, because I had to go and retrieve Politics sheets of Mr Evans in the morning, had to go to maths-for-science at lunch, and Chemistry practical ran over in the afternoon, so that's all three of my breaks gone. I hate maths, and I especially hate this kind of maths. Such a waste of time, and we had to go into lunch late and were pushed in front of by the uberannoying friggin' Lower Five. Thankfully, Mrs Stubss (of all people!) took pity on us, ruthlessly routed the Lower Fives and we got into lunch at some point before midnight.
I got let out early, was my only consolation. Was on my way home at five to four, and really and honestly had to keep myself from laughing out loud at Hogfather (I was sitting reading it on the station platform). I collect the very best quotes I come across and put them on my userinfo, but I've got too many choices! The one I've got at the moment is from Death - I HAVEN'T GOT A SINGLE FRIEND. EVEN CATS FIND ME AMUSING - but I'm tempted to replace it with this, longer, exchange, that takes place when Archchancellor Ridcully and the wizards at the University try asking Hex (a computer of sorts) a few questions:
'MIND TELLING US WHAT THE REALITY IS LIKE ROUND HERE?'

At that point, I had my hands in my mouth. You know what is generally said about people who spontaneously burst into laughter whilst aboard public transportation.
I have little else to say - except I've got a surprising amount of Fiction Alley reviews! Seventeen in two days, which is doing wonders for my cheery disposition. One of them is rather disgruntled, though (so much so she posted it twice). Apparently, people do not like it when I kill canon characters. Oops.
