"Oh, sanguine addiction..."
Jul. 31st, 2003 05:01 pmOne of the weird things that strikes me suddenly about
contrelamontre is how whatever your poison, you can find it there. I don't know what it is. Anyway. This glorious, grey, wet, generally overcast afternoon, I am attempting to write and failing miserably. Strangely, I want to go out and just walk. It's that kind of a day.
language_idling and I seem to have been talking about the weather a lot lately, which has made me pay attention to it in a way I never usually do.
In other, less random news, I have to phone BT again. This time, about wireless internet access. This is a good thing on principle, it's just the very thought of talking to BT again which is not such a good thing, both on principle and in reality. They'll no doubt shift me from department to department and give me a plethora of reference numbers, all without actually achieving anything at all, and in two week's time, I'll ring them again and they'll have forgotten who I am and had a computer failure in the meantime so everything anyone has ever told them in the last thirty years will have become so much gibberish at the bottom of a computer screen.
So, yes. That is all. This song, which I have been obsessively listening to for a day now, reminds me oddly of Rammstein, which I would say is not a good thing, but I won't, for fear of offending
