Indian gathering
Apr. 5th, 2003 06:38 pmDinner party shiznit tonight. My mother's trying to make me look pretty, god only knows why. She won't succeed. I'm not really looking forward to it, it's what my mother so politically correctly calls an "Indian gathering," but it won't be awful. Just a bunch of people I've never met asking me how old I am and what school I go to and am I worried about my exams yet and am I enjoying the party. Guess, why does it matter, d'you think, and hell, no are the truthful answers, but I'll be polite, I will. Got to be a credit to my parents, after all. Anyway... the good thing is, I have decided what to wear and did not pick my clothes up off the floor, and I even have found a couple of bracelets that I want to wear - natural wooden and "Dangerous mind."
I'm hungry. Better eat now, I guess, 'cause not everyone can cook like my mother. Seriously, she is a fantastic cook. Pity it's not in the slightest bit hereditary. My mother would be one hell of an intimidating mother-in-law, but she doesn't have any sons. Just as well, I guess.
Will miss M*A*S*H. How aggravating. Huh. Better depart, I guess.
